Theme 1.  VOLUNTEER COMMUNE IMPROVEMENT. ROUTE MAP FOR INNOVATIVE APPROACH

  1. conduct active dialogue with the authorities and communities to identify urgent social problems of society or region, creation a loyal legal fields, joint search for funding sources;
  2. promotion of community resources in carrying out voluntary activities involving "decision makers" to encourage volunteer activities, NGO resources;
  3. implementation of incentive measures to support volunteering – wide information campaign, search and support of sponsorship and charitable movement;
  4. promotion of volunteerism among youth, in general in society through the organization of volunteer camps, active use of social networks;
  5. celebration of Volunteer Day (5 December in Ukraine) on a broad national level.

 

Theme 2. VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES DURING CITY’S LARGE-SCALE EVENTS

The experience of involving volunteers from around the world is widely used during hosting international large-scale events, for example European Football Championship 2008 in Austria, Olympic Games 2004 in Athens, Annual Eurovision Song Contest held in Belgrade 2008, Athens 2006, Kyiv 2005.   
In such projects, the interaction between state and private organizations acquires qualitative new features. Public volunteers receive considerable organizational and financial support from the State.
Promoting the voluntary movement in city will not only allow receiving guests of large-scale events properly but also will rise the level of social and civic activities of young people and residents of cities.
Volunteers can perform different functions, among which are: Communication, information, organizational, presentation.


Theme 3. VOLUNTEERING
AS AN IMPORTANT PART OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AND SELF-DEPENDENT LIFE FOR DISABLED YOUNG PEOPLE

    • involvement of families, youth with disabilities who appeared in difficult circumstances to the "Volunteer School" to enhance their personal resources, identify opportunities in life;
    • use community resources in addressing issues of young people with disabilities by supporting and implementing a number of initiatives and programs for active volunteers;
    • participation in the organization of action "City suitable for everyone" by mobilizing the potential of state and public sector in addressing issues of tolerance towards people with disabilities, overcoming architectural, transportation and other barriers of the movement of people with disabilities, providing opportunities to implement creative potential of youth with disabilities;
    • implementation of programs for the patronage of volunteers among "healthy" youth over children and youth with disabilities (for example, “elder brother, elder sister ");
    • active use of social networks to engage volunteers in social activities.
